Cookie policy.

What cookies do

Cookies are small pieces of information stored in your browser. Our website also uses local storage and session storage, which keep information in your browser without being cookies. These technologies help confirm an inquiry, remember your analytics preference and measure website use.

Inquiry confirmation

After an accepted inquiry, the tarantola_inquiry cookie lets our Thank You page recognize that submission. It lasts up to 10 minutes and is limited to the confirmation page. It contains a signed random reference and timestamp, not your name, contact details or project description.

This confirmation cookie supports the inquiry flow and is separate from optional analytics. Blocking it may prevent the confirmation page from recognizing an accepted submission.

Google cookies

On our live website, Google Analytics uses _ga and _ga_C1TVS50MST to distinguish browsers and maintain session information. In our October 5 browser check, these cookies had expiry dates about 13 months ahead. Expiration can vary with browser limits, Google settings and subsequent visits.

Our existing Google tag is also connected to Google Ads. The _gcl_au cookie was observed with an expiry about 90 days ahead. The tag sends technical visit information through that connection even though Tarantola is not currently running Google Ads campaigns. Google signals and advertising personalization are disabled in our website tag configuration.

Google may process technical browser and device information and use its own cookies when its services are contacted. Read Google’s explanation of cookies and how Google uses information from partner websites.

Other browser storage

tarantola-analytics-disabled in local storage remembers your analytics choice in this browser until you change it or clear that storage. It does not expire automatically.

tarantola-form-start in session storage records the last form interaction time to avoid repeated form-start counts. A new form-start can be counted after 30 minutes without interaction. Keys beginning tarantola-lead- remember random inquiry references to avoid counting an accepted submission twice. Session storage is tied to the browser tab and normally ends when that tab’s session ends. These records contain no form entries.

Your choices

Use the control below to stop our Google tag from loading on future page loads in this browser. It stops both Analytics and the connected Ads tag on our website. We also honor your browser’s Do Not Track signal. Browsing and sending an inquiry do not depend on optional analytics.

This choice does not automatically delete cookies already stored or information already sent to Google. You can remove existing cookies and site storage through your browser settings. Clearing the stored analytics preference resets that choice; you can return here to turn analytics off again.

Browser settings can also block cookies. Blocking all cookies may affect inquiry confirmation. Choices made here apply to this browser, not other devices or browsers.
