Johnson County remodeling reviews.

I hired Tarantola Remodeling to completely demo and remodel my master bathroom. Joe gave me a competitive bid and assured me that they could handle every aspect of the job including plumbing, electrical, sheet rock, tile, installs, etc. according to code. A one stop shop so I didn't have to search out all the different contractors.

A special shout out to Ross - he did the majority of the work and was very professional and detail oriented. The job required a lot of plumbing, electrical, and sheet rock work for the shower, stand alone tub, and vanity. He completed all the tile work on the floor, shower, and surrounding the tub, in addition to installing the vanity, hanging the two mirrors and installing the new light fixtures. He would always inform me when he was coming over via text and kept me informed on the job progress.

My bathroom looks terrific and I am very satisfied with the completed project. I am having Joe and his team back out in July to install hardwoods in the dining - living room to tie into the kitchen and foyer hardwoods. They will also paint all the first floor then. I would highly recommend Tarantola Remodeling for your next project!

I cannot speak highly enough about this company. I had a full bathroom remodel and they gave me everything I asked for and more within budget and on time. The quality of their work and professionalism of the installers is truly exceptional. They are helpful and courteous and I will definitely contact them for future projects.

We recently used Joe and his crew to remodel our master bath. We could not have been more pleased. Ross, Andrew, Garrett, and Johanna were always prompt, courteous and very non intrusive. Once they started the project they were there everyday until completion. They were very professional and attended to every detail. We have absolutely no complaints. When the job was complete, we asked them to come back and do a floor refinish and some carpentry work while we were on vacation. Again, everything was completed perfectly and we were quite surprised by how thorough the clean up was. I would highly recommend this family owned business for any remodel project.

The Tarantola team did a fantastic job with our bathroom remodel, and everyone was extremely patient with our clueless questions. The work was meticulously done but did not drag out for a long time -- teardown began on a Monday, and a little over a week later, everything was finished, on time and on budget. We're so happy we found a local, family-run business to work with on this. We'll definitely be using Tarantola Remodeling again. (I'd love to add photos here, but I keep getting an error message from Google.)

We used Tarantola Remodeling for the second time for an upstairs bathroom and laundry room overhaul. The two bathrooms they remodeled are a huge improvement and their custom cabinetry added lots of storage space in our laundry room. Everyone we worked with was very accommodating and wanted to make sure the remodel turned out exactly as we wanted. It did! I would highly recommend Tarantola Remodeling for their professionalism and high-quality work.

Joe and his team at Tarantola Remodeling transformed our master bathroom from dark and dated to light, fresh, and fully functional. My wife and I are thrilled with the results and love our new bathroom.

The entire team is professional, easy to communicate with, and are amazing craftsman. We are so pleased with the results and relieved to have found an expert contractor to work with on future home projects.

I can't recommend this company enough!!! Tarantola remodeled my master bathroom and I couldn't be happier. They completely gutted the room, moved and expanded the shower, removed an old jacuzzi tub and put in a freestanding tub, new vanity, sinks and heated floors. Ross and Andrew really go the extra mile. Their attention to detail and willingness to change something mid project was very appreciated. My husband and I are very pleased with the end result.

Joe Tarantola and his crew just finished, in the projected timeline, a fabulous master bathroom remodel. We found every one of Joe’s crew, including Joe, to be reliable, flexible, communicative, patient, willing to listen and extremely respectful. When we wanted changes made, the changes were made and the construction is of the highest quality. We would highly recommend Tarantola Remodeling for your home projects!

We had 18 bids for a full first floor demo/remodel between plumbers, electricians, hardwoods, etc. Joe & his team were ultimately chosen because we felt they could get the job done right & within our timeline! They were able to answer every question thrown their way.

Ross & Garrett did all of the work in our home. They demo’d our kitchen, completed tons of rewiring/new wiring, gas lines, water lines, plumbing, tile work & hung all new light fixtures. His team also installed new hardwoods in 2 rooms to match existing & sanded/refinished all of the hardwoods. By a simple text, we always knew when they were coming back & what they would be working on next. They practically lived with us for 7 weeks...they were very pleasant & quiet while in our home. We always knew they were doing the job correctly & to code. We had full confidence in them.

We highly recommend Joe & his team for your next project!

We can't say enough about how pleased we are with Joe and the Tarantola Remodeling team. We've completed multiple projects at two properties with them including wood floor installation, floor refinishing and wood floor repair, wall removal, drywall installation and repair, shiplap installation, tile installation, fireplace refinish with new paint and marble, interior paint and exterior paint and many other related items including electrical and plumbing. We keep going back because of the responsiveness, communication, and quality. And they have exceeded our expectations many times! We've worked with other companies and have realized that Joe runs his business the right way and follows through on his word. We have recommended Tarantola Remodeling to many people over the years that have had similar excellent experiences. We will continue to use Joe and his amazing team.

After my neighbor recommended Joe, I called him for a bid. His bid was much more reasonable compared to the other bid I got. He explained everything he would be doing and when he would do it. His son did a majority of the work which included tearing out a jetted tub, relocating the washer/dryer area, tearing out old tile and laying new tile, and building a new pantry. I could not be happier. I had some other projects done by other companies and there is no comparison in the satisfaction level I have with Tarantolo Remodeling. I am very impressed with Joe and son. They were professional, personable, efficient and the work looks fantastic! He will keep you informed through the entire project--he answers any questions you have immediately. I highly recommend Tarantola Remodeling and will use Joe and son again in the future!

I can't recommend Joe and his crew highly enough! Prompt, honest, fair price, good communication and excellent work. They completely redid 2 bathrooms & included everything in the kitchen that I wanted. Always ready to go the extra mile. I couldn't be happier. Thanks Joe!!!

I've used Tarantola Remodeling for three separate projects in my home: first a basement kitchen; then a master bathroom overhaul; most recently, a main kitchen renovation that expanded to include a half-bath and ceiling fan replacements.

After working with Ross and his team on all of these builds, I wouldn't consider using anyone else for my home remodeling needs.

Versatility & Craftsmanship

Tarantola can handle almost any interior remodeling work you throw at them. Across my projects, they've handled everything from countertop and sink/plumbing prep, garbage disposal installation, appliance setup, repainting an entire room, and custom shelves to intricate tile backsplashes, fireplace tile surrounds, new ceiling fans, new outlets/switches with trim plates, and custom lighting, e.g., under-cabinet, above-cabinet, and assembling/installing a new kitchen table light with custom wood ceiling trim.

What stands out is how seamlessly their work blends into the existing home — the fit/finish of the painted walls, tile surfaces, and wood trim make the final results look like original construction. Every project feels meticulously planned and perfectly executed. Bonus: the team cleans as they go and makes every effort to keep living spaces functional during renovations.

Communication & Reliability

Working with Ross, Garrett, Andrew, and the rest of the team has been a fantastic experience. Ross is prompt with phone calls and texts — questions never go unanswered. The entire team communicates well in advance about needed upcoming decisions, giving me time to discuss options with my wife without feeling rushed. Tarantola is extremely punctual: Ross always lets me know who to expect and when and I trust them in my home even when I cannot be present.

Problem-Solving & Fair Pricing

When scope must expand or unexpected challenges pop up, Ross and his team handle changes fairly and pragmatically. They're solution-oriented, offering valuable insights on how to tackle hurdles while staying focused on customer satisfaction.

Originally referred by a neighbor, I found Tarantola's estimates to be competitive. After seeing the high standard of their work on the first project, choosing them for subsequent, larger renovations was an easy decision. They have earned my trust completely and I cannot recommend them highly enough.

We really couldn't have asked for a better experience when working with Tarantola Remodeling. From the start, Joe was fantastic with communication, upfront and fair on pricing, and went the extra mile to ease our concerns with some of the big decisions we were about to make. Throughout the entirety of our main floor remodel (Kitchen, Living Room, New Floors, etc.) we felt great about the quality of work that was being performed. The Tarantola team never made us feel like a burden when we asked for changes and even went so far as to help come up with ideas and solutions when we had unique requests. Ross, Garret, and Andrew were a pleasure to have around and always made sure we were comfortable and happy with their work during each phase of the project. We've worked with other contractors in the past and our experience with Tarantola was by far the best we've had. My only qualm is that we didn't find them sooner! We will only work with Tarantola on future projects and will be referring them to friends and family as often as we can.

We recently hired Tarantola Remodeling for a major renovation that included remodeling our primary bathroom, updating our primary bedroom, painting our entire main floor, and reconstructing and modernizing our staircase. From start to finish, the experience exceeded our expectations.

Their crew was thoughtful, detail-oriented, conscientious, and committed to doing things the right way. They never cut corners and took the time to ensure every aspect of the project was completed correctly. When issues arose, they focused on finding the proper solution rather than the quickest one.

What impressed us most was how well they listened. They genuinely cared about bringing our vision to life, welcomed our design ideas, and were incredibly accommodating when we requested a few small last-minute changes. Questions were answered promptly, communication was excellent, and we always felt informed throughout the process.

We also appreciated their work schedule of 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. It allowed us to maintain a sense of normalcy while the work was underway. Their pricing was competitive, and we truly feel we received excellent value for our investment.

Just as important, we felt completely comfortable having the crew in our home. They were friendly, respectful, professional, and even kind to our pets. By the end of the project, it felt like we had a trusted team working alongside us rather than contractors simply completing a job.

We are absolutely thrilled with the finished results and would highly recommend Tarantola Remodeling to anyone looking for quality craftsmanship, integrity, and a team that genuinely cares about their work and their clients.

This company provided outstanding professional services using nothing but the highest quality materials at a very fair and affordable price. I would recommend them without reservation for any project you’re looking to have completed from small to large.

I highly recommend Tarantola Remodeling. Andrew just built a top-notch sturdy handrail from my garage into my kitchen! It is PERFECTLY constructed. Not only was his craftsmanship excellent, but he cleaned up the area afterward and is a kind, lovely person to boot! Ross was able to give me a quote within two days of my initial inquiry and was able to get me on the schedule quickly as well. Ross was excellent at communication and follow-up. Two thumbs up!

As we noted about a month ago, Tarantola is detail oriented. Our basement is awesome. During this hot and humid weather, we found condensation build up in our new basement bathroom's exhaust duct work. Called them up and Ross was out the very next day. The problem was minor, but he completely reworked all of the duct work from the fan to the exterior wall so that the issue won't come back. Great job! Thanks, guys!
